The impact of government actions on cattle feeders is significant and undeniable.  The TCFA government relations staff is the legislative and regulatory voice of the association and works to inform and educate state and federal elected officials and government agencies to ensure that cattle feeders’ views are taken into account as issues are debated, bills are passed and regulations are written.

The government relations staff works independently and through coalitions on all policy issues affecting cattle feeders and the beef industry, including international trade, tax and credit issues, food safety, animal health and welfare, property rights, environment, renewable energy, marketing, nutrition and much more.

TCFA is tracking a number of bills this legislative session that could impact cattle feeding and agriculture in general. Below are links to those bills divided into relevant subject areas. To read one of the bills on these lists, go to http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/BillLookup/BillNumber.aspx and enter the bill number into the search box. You can also use that site to access information about members of the legislature and access live and archived video broadcasts of committee meetings and floor proceedings.
