There’s a common misconception in mommy world that beef is bad. We know this is simply not true. In fact, all the misinformation swirling around the social stratosphere about beef is actually irresponsible.
Along with a million other things, we high-maintenance humans need protein, and beef so happens to be one of the best ways to get all the protein you need without sacrificing taste. Just one 3 oz. serving of beef provides protein, iron and zinc, which are often lacking in diets of babies, kids, teens…and yes, even stressed out mom's (of three) like myself.
That same 3 oz cooked serving of beef provides 25 grams of protein (that’s half of what adults need daily) in only 170 calories. You would have to eat 6.5 tablespoons of peanut butter (and all the sugar that comes with it) in order to get the same amount.
Nothing against my beloved PB&J, but it certainly doesn’t have the same bang for your buck as beef does. Here are a few more quick facts to remember about America’s favorite protein.
There you have it. Just a few reasons why you should feel good about eating beef and serving it to your family. I know I will.
