TCFA Junior Fed Beef Challenge The TCFA Junior Fed Beef Challenge was designed to encourage young people to gain practical experience in feeding commercial beef cattle. This program will stress the importance of proper animal husbandry and financial management. Over the last 16 years, TCFA has introduced hundreds of young people to the cattle feeding industry through the Junior Fed Beef Challenge. The 2007 Junior Fed Beef Challenge has been set for Saturday, August 4. The contest will be held on the campus of West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. This is an educational event for the future leaders of the cattle feeding industry and animal agriculture. Plus, more than $18,000 in scholarships, prizes and premiums will be awarded. Young people who are regularly enrolled in public or private elementary or secondary schools or who are being home schooled in Texas, Oklahoma or New Mexico, including high school seniors, are eligible to compete in this contest *Acrobat
