TCFA Names Hunt As New Communications Director
The Texas Cattle Feeders Association (TCFA) has announced the hiring of James Hunt as the organization's new communications director.
Hunt brings with him 25 years of experience as a communications professional. For the past three years, he has served as the communications director for U.S. Representative Mac Thornberry (R- Clarendon, TX). Previously, Hunt worked as communications director for former Texas State Senator Teel Bivins (R-Amarillo). Many in Cattle Feeding Country will remember Hunt from his days as a newsman and talk show host at Amarillo radio station KGNC-AM.
Ross Wilson, President and CEO of TCFA, said, "We are very pleased James is on board and utilizing his strong skills in public relations and communications to serve TCFA members."
In addition to his government and radio experience, Hunt has been a television news reporter and talk show host, editor of a weekly newspaper, and a photographer for both newspaper and television.
Hunt's responsibilities will include communicating with the news media, producing TCFA's weekly newsletter, and overseeing the organization's website.
