Winegarner Joins TCFA As Government Affairs Director  

            Josh Winegarner has joined the staff of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association as government affairs director, TCFA President & CEO Richard McDonald announced.

            Winegarner, a native of Spearman, Texas , graduated from McMurry University in Abilene with a degree in history.  He has worked in Washington , D.C.   for Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) and former Texas Senator Phil Gramm, specializing in agriculture and trade policy. 

            "Josh is familiar with the TCFA membership region of Texas , Oklahoma and New Mexico , and is a veteran in the halls of politics in Washington ," McDonald said.  "His experience and knowledge will serve cattle feeders well."

            The TCFA area of Texas , Oklahoma and New Mexico is the largest cattle feeding region in the country, annually marketing 30% of the nation's fed beef production.
